NavGuard is an ultra-thin film corrosion prevention compound intended for use on any metal surface.

Ultra thin film treatment won’t attract dust and dirt, won’t add significant weight to small aircraft, and doesn’t interfere with the ability to inspect internal surfaces

NavGuard provides high-performance, long-lasting, corrosion protection without requiring repeated applications.

Also available with a mildew inhibitor additive (NavGuard Type I)

Developed by US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) & made in the USA

Can be used both for initial protection during shipment & storage, and for in-service treatment

Qualified under MIL-PRF-81309H Type IV to provide advanced protection for corrosion prone areas in the extreme naval aviation environment.

Navguard exceeds the exacting requirements of MIL-PRF-81309 and is one of only a handful of products qualified under that standard. For example, Navguard lasted three times longer than the 14-day neutral salt fog (ASTM B 117) requirements for aluminium panels.

In side-by-side tests NavGuard outperformed commercially available competitors by a factor of three on aluminum and steel.

NavGuard has been assigned National Stock Numbers (NSN) and is available for procurement through the Defense Logistics Agency
