Electricity

Over half of all unplanned poweroutages are due to corrosion

CorrosionX is used by electrical utilities & distribution contractors around the world to prevent corrosion.

CorrosionX can be applied directly to rusty and damaged metal surfaces. It is ideal for in-field use to prevent or stop active corrosion in situations where it is not practical or cost-effective for your linesmen to strip back the rust to bare
steel and repaint.

Polar Bonding technology makes CorrosionX bond to metal surfaces like a magnet, driving out moisture and stopping rust in its tracks. Resistant to spray, wash-off, and heavy friction, it is very difficult to displace.

The innovative, self-healing Fluid Thin Film Coating creates the famous CorrosionX creep, driving the product into the hardest-to-reach places and providing a massive 94m2/litre of coverage, offering incredible bang for your buck.

CorrosionX comes in aerosols for easy in-field application but can also be purchased in bulk and applied with spray applicators.

SAFE REMOVAL OF TRANSFORMERS

Corrosion in electrical transformers eventually leads to oil leaks and transformer failures. An aging or failed transformer must be safely removed from site to be reconditioned, decommissioned or scrapped. Safely removing an old transformer (whether from a pole or from the ground) is challenging for linesmen. The removal process is likely to disturb transformer seals, resulting in oil leaks. This can create significant environmental and legal consequences for electrical distribution contractors.

Andax has spent decades working with leading electrical utilities in the US to perfect a containment solution that enables transformers to be safely removed, transported, and stored without the risk of oil leaks or environmental contamination.

Andax produces a range of transformer containment bags that have been specifically tailored for the Australian and New Zealand pole and ground mounted transformer fleet.
